Your privacy
This site is a portfolio. It is built to show work, not to collect data. This page explains the small amount of personal information that is involved when you visit or get in touch, and what happens to it.
Who is responsible
This website is run by Abdul, an individual content creator who works under the name Aksoheart. There is no company behind it. He works from the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, with brands worldwide. He is the controller of the personal information described on this page, and he handles it in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). For anything to do with your personal information, email hello@aksoheart.com.
What this site does not do
- It does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
- It does not use analytics that identify you or follow you around the web.
- It does not ask you to create an account.
- It does not sell, rent or trade personal information. Ever.
Information you choose to send
If you email Aksoheart or send an enquiry through the contact form, you share your name, your email address and whatever you write about your brand and project. That information is used for one purpose: to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to plan and deliver the work. It is not added to a mailing list.
Messages sent through the form are delivered to Abdul's inbox by Resend, an email delivery service that handles the message only in order to deliver it. The form also checks how quickly it was filled in and uses a hidden field to keep automated spam out. Neither check identifies you.
The legal basis for this is Aksoheart's legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and, where a project is being discussed, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 12 months. Where a project goes ahead, the correspondence, agreements and invoices are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which in the UK is typically six years.
Visitor statistics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. It records anonymous, aggregated information: which pages and sections were viewed, whether a video was played or an enquiry was sent, the referring site, and the general type of device and country. This is used only to understand which work people find useful.
If Abdul sent you a personal link to this site, that link may carry a short tag naming your company, for example ?for=brandname. The tag lets him see that the link he sent was opened. It identifies the link, not you as an individual, and you can remove it from the address at any time.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the host's servers briefly process technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure. Aksoheart does not use these logs to identify visitors.
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address. Google states that it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles. See Google's explanation.
The videos and photos on this site are served from the site itself. They are not embedded from social platforms, so watching them does not tell those platforms you were here.
Where information is processed
Abdul works between the UK and the UAE with brands around the world, and the hosting and email services used to run this site may process information in other countries, including the United States. Where personal information leaves the UK, it is sent only to providers that offer recognised safeguards, such as the UK's approved international data transfer terms.
Links to other sites
The Instagram, TikTok and YouTube links take you to those platforms. Once you are there, their own privacy policies apply, and Aksoheart has no control over what they collect.
People who appear in the work
The portfolio includes photos and videos of people filmed at shoots, events and brand campaigns. If you appear in something on this site and would like it removed, email hello@aksoheart.com with a link or a description, and it will be reviewed promptly.
Your rights
Under UK and UAE data protection law you have the right to ask what information is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive a copy of it. Similar rights apply if you live in the EU or elsewhere. You can use any of these rights free of charge by emailing hello@aksoheart.com, and you will get a reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with the response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, to the UAE Data Office, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
Children
This site is aimed at brands, agencies and professional partners. It is not directed at children, and Aksoheart does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this page
If the way this site handles information changes, for example if a newsletter is added, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
